Kids Chakradance Naga's Curse

This Chakrdance Kids course is geared towards 6-9 year-olds and will meet Wednesday evenings at 5pm.

We take a fun adventure each week through one of the 7 major chakras to help us better understand how they support us.

We know that it takes far less time for us to learn through play than any other way, so classes are designed with fun in mind. We will read stories, recreate them with movement, and create wonderful art. All of this helps us reinforce the larger concepts we are introducing like dealing with big emotions, practicing self-regulation,  and compassion for others.

Classes consist of 

A Check-in to see how everyone in the group is doing.

A breathing practice that helps us connect to our bodies.

A story that connects us to one of the Chakra energies.

A dancing/movement portion where we recreate some of the story we listened to. 

An art experience.

And a short meditative moment to complete our time together.

What will we be working with?

In week 1 week one we practice connecting with our instincts (body whispers) to help keep us safe.

Week 2 focuses on healthy emotional expression and how to use the breath when we might be nearing an emotional crash.

Week 3 gives us the opportunity to practice finding our inner strength.

In week 4 we explore finding compassion for ourselves and others

Week 5 challenges us to consider how being ourselves (authenticity) is really being honest with ourselves and others.

In Week 6 we practice using our intuition to think and see clearly.

Finally week 7 we will work on self-awareness using our eagle eye perspectives.

All participants of this 7-week series are encouraged to come take part in our Free Introductory session on September 25th at 5pm.
