Throat Chakradance @Move with JOY Studio

Move with Joy Studio will be Hosting Heart Center for a unique single-class offering of Vishuddha, the Throat Chakradance.

Join us on Saturday, March 9th @ 5pm inside the Move with Joy studio to wiggle, dance, play, and make noise to open and activate our Throat Chakras.

Translated from Sanskrit, Vishuddha means purification. It is the gateway for energy between the lower body and our heads which governs the principles of our self-expression and communication.

In this dance, I will guide you on a journey into the energy of this chakra to shake loose any restrictions conscious or unconscious which may inhibit things like speaking up for ourselves, allowing our voice to be heard, and honoring our truths- whatever they may be.

The approximately 90-minute workshop will consist of a brief talk about Chakradance along the throat chakra and how it governs certain aspects of ourselves. Participants with then take a guided journey into this chakra energy through movement and sound, and we will finish with the creation of mandala art to help anchor our experience into the physical world.

This class is for adults of all abilities, there are no set steps to learn- and participants do not need to be dancers to come and play.

It will be held in the MOVE WITH JOY STUDIO at 1103 Portage St. Kalamazoo, MI-  5pm on Saturday March 9th.

Tickets will be $25 a piece or 2 for $40. Bring your bestie, because we know healing happens in community.
