guided meditation & hypnosis

Five years ago I travelled down to North Carolina to

study Hypnosis with Sarah Gewanter who teaches for the

National Guild of Hypnotists.

 

She taught me that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis and through suggestion, we can build strong new neural pathways in the brain to help us let go of outdated habits. In practicing hypnosis, we can create supportive new patterns and find ways to help ourselves become more of the people we long to be.

While studying hypnosis, I realized how similar in many ways it was to many forms of guided meditation. The key difference I have found is that while hypnosis at it's core is in many ways self led. Meditation allows us to be led in a direction.
